What our Haute [ōt] Food Colors used for?

These are certified edible food colors and can be applied to an edible preparation of any kind.

What is the difference between Water and Oil soluble food colors?

Water Soluble food colors dissolve in water-based fluids: water, egg whites, milk, cream, alcohol, etc. This type of colors can be applied in various recipes with water being one of the main elements: glaze, macarons, fondant, caramel, sponges, meringues, sugars, sauces, and other applications.

Oil Soluble (or Fat Soluble) dissolve in fat based components: chocolate, cocoa butter, fats and oils, etc.

Are they gluten, dairy and nut free? Are they Kosher? Do they have alcohol?

Our whole range of food colors are: Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Soy Free, Nut Free, Alcohol Free, Vegan, Kosher, Halal and Non-GMO. They are synthetic food colors 100% safe for consumption as per international standards. All the regulatory requirements are followed by EAC, FDA, BIS, EU or WHO.

How much colors should you add?

Due to the high concentration formula, the use of the colorant is very minimal, effective and economical. Recommended proportion is 0,001% - 0,01%. You can add more colorant if a higher intensity shade is required.

How to apply powdered food colors?

Powders can be added directly to the product, or previously dissolved in a small amount of warm liquid (water, oil, alcohol, cocoa butter, etc) and then added to the product. Finish with blending until it’s fully dissolved.

What is the shelf life?

Shelf life is 5 years from manufacture date. However in reality the ingredients used do not have an expiry date if stored properly.

How to store Haute [ōt] Food Colors?

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place at the temperature +5C to +30C.

What if I don’t want to achieve bright colors, instead I want to achieve soft baby shades?

With Haute [ōt] Food colors you can create both, bright and soft tones.

For softer shades simply begin with adding “White Coconut” to the fluid to create a white base, then add a small pinch of any other shade of food color to create soft tint.

What currency is used on the Haute [ōt] website?

All prices on our website are displayed in USD.
